Asus announces fixed Intel 6-series chipset-based products

Taiwanese manufacturer Asus announced it will begin shipping replacement B3-stepping motherboards and notebooks not suffering from the SATA degradation issues of Intel's 6-Series "Cougar Point" chipset this week. The news come shortly after it was confirmed that Intel had begun seeding the fixed chip into the channel, and mirrors MSI in providing a fast response to prevent any further inconvenience and interruption to customers.

    I love Asus. That's how you take care of your customers. I said it before, but if AMD was really up for sale, I'd love for Asus to acquire it, instead of Dell.

    I used to be an ASUS fan, switched to MSI laptops, and gigabyte ATX motherboards, to many hardware issues with some of the ASUS equipment. Mind you they are hell better than Dell.
