    hi all

My friend got motherboard "ASUS P4XP-X" and surprisingly the Speakers Jack is the same as Microphone Jack!!
So what would you do if it was yours?:grinthumb

    From the manual....

I wasn't able to copy the tables but if he's got the manual, he should be able to find it.....or d/l it from Asus' site.

    Edit: Typo

Like Masque said, read the MANUAL.

I've got a similar setup, and it's not too hard to change back and forth (except for the fact you have to switch the cables).

Just use the Sound Manager that comes with the motherboard, select "Speaker Configuration" and you can choose whether to have a mic or surround sound.

Sometimes you can get or are supplied with separate ports that go into the PCI Slot and connect to the motherboard.
