  1. OK i have an Asus P5K-E Deluxe edition with WiFi app and looking to upgrade my proc. I know that it has a P35 chipset but i don't know what procs will and won't work.in it (obviously not an i7) I'm looking at an Intel Core 2 Duo E7300 or E7400 or newer if i can.

Your mobo supports the entire Core 2 Duo\Quad range, including the 45nm CPUs. You may want to update your BIOS to the latest version, to make sure the new chip is supported.

Personally, I would just buy the chip and pop it in. If the PC does not boot with it, or it is not recognized in the BIOS, put the old one in, update the BIOS, and put the new one in again. It would save you the trouble of updating your BIOS if your current one can support the chip just fine.

Just FYI, you can view the CPU support list for your motherboard here.
