Asus Sabertooth BIOS version?

Hey guys,

I recently just built my first pc with a Asus Sabertooth x58 motherboard. When I checked the Bios it was version 0702; however, I cannot find that version anywhere on the web. Not even Asus's website. Any idea why that is? Also should I upgrade to their new BIOS v0802?

Should you upgrade? If you aren't having any problems with the BIOS now, I would not bother. You may if you wish but there is some risk involved.

According to the Asus site BIOS 0802 (Download>BIOS>BIOS History)
1. Improves memory compatibility
2. Improves system stability
3. Fixes Logitech G1 Keyboard may not be detected

Their previous listed BIOS 0602 (which pre-dates yours)
1. Improves system stability
2. Supports new CPUs. (i7 990X)

Seems like the 0602 was the latest important one. Unless you are experiencing problems, as mailpup stated, then I really wouldn't bother. If you're keen to update something then make sure your chipset, LAN, LAN diagnostic, USB controller and audio drivers are current.
