I'm not sure and although there is some risk involved whenever you flash the BIOS, maybe you could try it.

I dont know what else it could be, I'm totally out of ideas. It's a very bizzare problem, typical I get one that's this weird. I've searched Google a lot to see if there's anyone out there who gets this problem, closest coming is the "black screen of death" which isn't quite the same and would of been fixed with a reinstall of Windows.

I running out too. Each time you test and eliminate a component as the problem whatever is left, however improbable, must be the problem part (to paraphrase Sherlock Holmes).

Try installing only one stick of RAM at a time.

Well I think we can rule out software related issues, used driver sweeper more times then I can count, and reinstalled Windows 7. Okay, I'll try that.

Sorry for the double post. I thought I fixed it, and I did for about 24 hours. Everything was working fine and I got back to installing my stuff back. Seems after updating my sound card drivers the issue happened again though, after restarting the computer. Resoultion is stuck at 640x480 and I cant make it bigger.

List your PC components (brand and model). Perhaps we can gain insight from that.

When you thought you fixed it, what did you do?

What happened when you tried running it with one RAM stick at at time?
