ATI Graphic card not playing Medal of Hounor

I installed the game onto my HD.
When i went to boot the game up by pressing the icon on my desktop it came up with a message



Your ATI graphics card does not fully support DirectX8.1

Is there anyway i can download DirectX8.1 to play my freshly bought game???lol

Sorry for the stupid question whats a Steam purchase?

its an ATI d33053 Raedon 9600 256mb

I meant did you purchase the game through Steam

I hate to say this, but the 9600 does not meet the min requirements for MOH. Its about three years behind the min req's (GeForce 7800/ATIx1900 the game calls for.
