ATI MOBILITY RADEON 9700 Crashes in Windows2000

I just upgraded my Toshiba Satelite P30 to Windows 2000 When i install the ATI Driver the Laptop crashes during startup (Total dispaly blindness and no respond to key board)

It works ok with WinXP/Pro
sytem P4 3.2MHz 512MB 60GB 17"mon

Please help

Which drivers are you using? For laptops you should only use the drivers from the laptop manufacturer not the ones from ATI.

Yes I have installed the driver from the manufactures Drivers cd It installs the correct one recognising the OS as win2K. But when it comes to rebooting its just crasing and every thing goes blank no respond to key board but I can restart in SAFE MODE and disable the disply from Hardware devices then it reverts to basic VGA mode ang i can boot as normal but the display stays at 600X400.

Are you dual booting with XP? Did you install the chipset drivers when you installed 2000?

Yes I am dual booting with win XP Pro Using Partition Magic Win XP Pro 10GB Win 2K 50GB I dont think I have instaled the Win 2K Chip set How can I Check.

Just download the newest motherboard drivers for 2000 and install them within 2000.
