Ati Radeon 9250 tv out problems

Hello to all, my problem is that when i connect my ati radeon 9250 via s-video to my tv(older panasonic 37'') the picture is for one black and white and also distorted.Tried different resolutions and still no resolve. If anyone has any suggestions i would really appreciate it.

Did you use any adapters or is is straight S-Video to the TV? If using SCART, did you actually select S-Video on the TV set (and does the TV actually support S-Video?).

Make sure you have the PAL/NTSC setting right.

thanks for the reply, I did use straight s-video to the set. I'm assuming it does support because it has the connection for it.

What is scart? I've heard of it but don't exactly know what it is. I'll try going into the tv menu to see if there is a selection for s-video. I had my dvd recorder hooked up to the same s-video input and it worked fine.

As far as testing it with another tv i would have to get another with s-video.
Where would I have to check the pal/ntsc setting?

The PAL or NTSC output seletion should be somewhere in the display settings.
