AVG is it not very good any more?

  1. drneves7 Newcomer, in training

    I am running AVG on mine and my girlfriends pc's. Is it not safe anymore I notice you guys do not recommend it anymore. So should I uninstall it and if so I was wondering why so?

    This is personal choice
    Everyone has a different viewpoint, and many online reviews differ too

    It was removed from the 8-Step guide because on a Virus or Malwared infected computer, AVG tends to fault (a bit like how Norton does)

    Therefore Antivirus like Avast or Avira were recommended as the best free alternative

    Also the new and improved AVG Ver 8, tends to slow many user's computers down with its over-bloated scanning\protecting engines
    I usually recommend Avira :)
