Hi, I download the Ares program to get some movies, but almost everything is in avi, I can download it but just hear it don see it. Do I need some other program to actually see the movie?. Can you help me? Really I don't know anything about computers, just turn it off and on.
    Thanks.

You're probably missing a required codec.

K-lite has never failed me -- download it from here, install it, and your files should be able to play properly now. :)

    Pretty much what ender said.

if VLC cant do it, nothing can.

here are also some skins if you do not like the interface. (i hate the default interface)

    http://www.videolan.org/vlc/skins.php

    1. just download which ever one you like.

    2. once installed open VLC

    3.click on tools.

    4. Preferences

    5. it should already be on "interface settings"

    6. click on skin,

    7. Browse for the skin file and apply.

    8. Restart VLC and the skin should be applied.

    DiviX Codecs
    VLC

I say DiviX codecs because a lot of newer AVIs have some sort of new tricks up there sleeves.
