Hi guys,

Avira recently picked up RKIT/Agent.oxr [trojan] initially and the computer shut down with BSOD, with a message concerning NTFS.sys. Subsequently on reboot, TR/Alureon.CD.13 [trojan] was detected. The system appears to have slowed.

I've had problems in the past with Virtumonde which I more or less fixed with the help of members of this forum.

I'm running Windows XP SP2.

Are you requesting help now? Unfortunately we're short of helpers here temporarily. However, if you have picked up a Rootkit, I strongly suggest you get some help to clean it and the Trojans. You can get some Virus and Malware help HERE>

If you decide to check it out, please look for the thread with the programs to run and instructions for the logs. You will find it similar to TS. Nothing can be done until the programs have been run and the log posted.
