Backup drive data recovery

Hi Experts

I have recently corrupted my hard disk while trying to copy an outlook PST from the BACK to the computer... afterwards.. the drive is dead..

Drive details are WD - PASSPORT WDBAAA5000ABK-00

Can someone tell how can I best recover the data.

"afterwards.. the drive is dead.. " What do you mean by "dead"? Not spinning up or not being recognized by Windows?
