What's probably the easiest way to make a backup of your Apple system software and drivers? The machine in question is a G3 Pismo running OS 10.2.8. I just acquired it secondhand w/o the system restore CD. I can order the OS CDs easily, but wanted to make sure all the drivers were correct. Also, is it possible to download Mac drivers to a CD from a computer running Windows XP? Thanks in advance.

If you're installing a newer OSX, it should ask you if you want to archive the old installation (that's probably the easiest way).

If the drivers are in zip/dmg format, you can burn them to a CD in any OS.

    Hi Mictlantecuhtli,
Is it pretty similar to when you're reinstalling Windows & a backup is made of the original installation? I'm just kind of a newbie to the more recent Macs b/c I've been a Windows user for six years-that's how long it's been since my last Mac! :)
