Basic motherboard drivers

Missing basic motherboard drivers. Reinstalled XP and am now missing some basic mb drivers such as Ethernet Controller, Video controller (VGA comaptible). How do I get some basic motherboard drivers (just so the isp disk will accept the resolution) if I don't know my motherboard make and model. How do I find out my motherboard make and model.

Go to the motherboard manufacturers website, look up your motherboard model number and download all the drivers that you need. If you need further help, please tell us which motherboard you have. The model number should be labeled on the motherboard around the CPU socket.

Let me add to what cliffordcooley said. If you have a self-built or custom built PC then go with what cliffordcooley posted. If you have a PC built by a major manufacturer, such as HP, Dell, Acer, eMachines, etc., then go to that company's website for the appropriate drivers. In this later case, you will need the PC model name or number which should be somewhere on the case.
