Does any one know if Battlefield 2 is compatible with a NVIDIA Geforce 7900 GT/GTO graphics card?

What is the error message? Next time could you make a note of it?

Hi, there is no error message. I've updated DirectX, Install BF2, Install the patches. Then i try and run it but the screen just goes black. So i was wondering if it was something to do with my NVIDIA Geforce 7900 GT/GTO graphics card?.

It would be best if you didn't post the same problem more than once. It creates confusion when different members try to help you in two different threads. More is not better in this case.

Try downloading Ccleaner and clean the registry of all traces of BF2. Ccleaner is a freeware program.

ive tried cclleaner but it didnt get rid of the files, any other suggestions please?

how do i get battle field 2 to work on vista....my screen goes black for like 3 sec

You change the compatibility mode while the game is not running. I don't have Vista so I'm taking this from a Windows website page:

Open the Program Compatibility Wizard by clicking the Start button Picture of the Start button, clicking Control Panel, clicking Programs, and then clicking Use an older program with this version of Windows.

Follow the instructions in the wizard.

Re-install the game. It apparently fixes this issue. Look at the first couple of posts in this thread.

I had the same problem, mine would load up until the point were I tried to connect to a server, then crash back to desk top.

I found out that it was actually my sound card, I have a sound blaster X-Fi Elite Pro, running in Windows Vista x64, I simply uninstalled it and used the intergrated sound card on the motherboard, all is fine.

    Don't know if this helps

Hmm, do you have the required hardware for the game? Also, have you installed the appropriate drivers for all your hardware?
