battlefield kicking battlefest

EA and DICE recently announced Battlefest, a month-long event filled with activities and some awesome prizes to help gamers make it through the thick of summer. The festivities get under way this weekend with double XP being offered on July 12-13 ahead of next Tuesday's release of the game's fourth expansion pack, Dragon's Teeth.

The expansion pack includes five new weapons and a new unlockable gadget, the Ballistic shield. There's also a new game mode, 10 new assignments and a new Battle pickup. Full details on Dragon's Teeth can be found by clicking here.

July 12 also marks the first day of their daily contest, Battleshots. Gamers are asked to submit an in-game screenshot each day based on the daily theme. Each daily winner will receive an AMD graphics card, a $50 gift card to the DICE store and a Battlefield 4 Premium membership for the platform of their choice.

In addition to the daily contest, gamers will also receive a free camo in-game unlock each week and an additional double XP weekend at the end of the event in August. Furthermore, Battlefest includes weekly community missions and a stunt video competition in which the top 12 submissions as selected by DICE will receive some awesome prizes.

Nine finalists will each get an AMD graphics card valued at $300 while the top three winners as voted by fans will each receive an AMD gaming PC valued at more than $3,000.

This was funny, it didn't even launch until late Saturday -_- how the hell did they manage to bug there own launch?!

Still, I've been playing this most of the weekend and the netcode/hit recognition is still crap as ever...

Just a case in point, I managed to do 18 damage to someone with a bolt action sniper on hardcore?! That's not even possible!
