I was away from my computer and when I returned, I have seen a message on my screen that Windows has recovered from a serious error and I assume somewhere along the line came the infamous BSOD.
    The BCcode was
    40000080 BCP1:89B4CAD0 BCP2:896C1440 BCP3:80551388 BCP4:00000001 OSVer: 5_1_2600 SP:3_0 Product 256_1

I have attached the only dump file in the directory-is there any program that can open it?
Operating system is XP Pro -SP3 Intel Core2Duo E4600 @ 2.40 GHz with 2GB ram.
System has run fine since new, latest software is Norton 360 which may be the culprit. Checked for firewall conflict, and Windows was disabled Norton enabled.
    Any ideas?

I have just tried disabling Norton Firewall in Norton 360 and enabled the Windows firewall and nothing changed. Maybe a hardware issue? Motherboard perhaps?

Thanks... problem has been resolved. It turned out the ethernet card was fried.
    All better now :)
