Beginning dump of physical memory

a few moths ago I started getting a series of errors in which the graphics on games would break and distort, it was usually followed shortly after by my computer going to a blue screen saying begging dump of physical memory, after trying what i saw as obvious things (i.e updating drivers) for no apparent reason it seemed to stop, after not doing anything major in the way of changing my pc it seems to have started happening again but at more regular intervals (both the graphical errors and the dumping of physical memory). I've got to the point where I am genuinely unsure of the right course of action and any help would be greatly appreciated.

How to find and post your Minidump Files:

My Computer > C Drive > Windows Folder > Minidump Folder > Minidump Files.

It is these files that we need (not the folder). Attach to your next post the five most recent dumps. Notice the Manage Attachments button at the bottom when you go to post the next time. You can Zip up to five files per Zip; if you only have one or two you don’t need to zip them, just attach as is. Please do us a favor and don’t Zip each one individually.

minidumps

Thanks for the speedy reply.

When I checked the folder you asked it only had two mini-dumps in but one was quite large so I zipped them, as attached.

The video card driver atikmpag.sys was cited as the cause of your issue. I suggest doing the following...

1. Download Driver Sweeper free version to your desktop screen and install.

2. Download the latest diver(s) for your video card but don't install them.

3. Uninstall your video card drivers and reboot your PC into Safe Mode. Run Driver Sweeper and remove ONLY the video card drivers. I had someone use it on their chipset drivers! If it doesn't find any video card drivers that is quite okay; just leave all other drivers alone.

4. Reboot and install new video card drivers.

thanks

did everything you asked and it seems to have fixed the problem, may have occurred when i used a driver wizard to auto update my drivers, as it seems to have happened shortly after that.

anyway really appreciate the help

Also had "beginning dump of physical memory"

This happened the first time today when clicking on a video in Facebook. I'm attaching the dump file. Any thoughts? Thanks,Robin

Hi ROBIN8928, your error is 0x00000050: PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA
Requested data was not in memory. An invalid system memory address was referenced. Defective memory (including main memory, L2 RAM cache, video RAM) or incompatible software (including remote control and antivirus software) might cause this Stop message, as may other hardware problems (e.g., incorrect SCSI termination or a flawed PCI card).

Nothing specific was cited as your cause. If you get any more BSOD's please start your own thread and we will be more than glad to read them.
