Second machine I'm having problems with Vista and Zone Alarm.

Don't remember what we ended up with on the first one, was a couple
weeks ago.

Does ZA work with Vita Home Basic?

If not, what's a good, workable preferably free firewall that will work?

Edit: I suppose maybe the Windows firewall needs to be turned off
or uninstalled to avoid conflict? Being the Windows firewall is so
embedded in Windows, any tricks to doing that?

While I'm at it, what's a good current anti-spyware that works
with Vista? Preferably non-subscription, but info on either
will be considered and appreciated.

I know Zone Alarm is not compatible with Windows Vista. So you should try something else if you want a firewall. Check www.download.com for a good one that works on Windows Vista.
