    Well don't forget PC Tools Firewall Plus (free 100%) http://www.pctools.com/firewall/ and now you can get PC Tools Spyware Doctor with Anti-Virus integrated for 100% free here: www.pctools.com/mirror/sdastart.exe. This got 95% on PC Mags beat everything out there. I use the firewall from them as it's free with free updates as with all their software. Update daily. Plus it doesn't hose the system. For added protection there PC Tools Threatfire got some very good ratings also. Add second layer of protection. http://www.threatfire.com/ (100% free) updates an etc.. Again you really don't want to bog down the system with over board protection.
