Hi,
I'm new, and I need some advice. I am trying to improve my home pc - an HP s5650z. Has a Phenom 840t processor (quad-core, 2.9 GHz). 8 GB of ram...I'm looking to install a graphics card and presumably upgrade the power supply. I can't figure out which card to use, especially because of size restrictions, same goes for the PSU. Any recommendations?

Your current machine is getting pretty old - but it is still useful. Considering power restrictions from PSU, you might enjoy a GTX 950 (90 watts). I can't tell if you need a low profile card, so be sure to confirm the fit before buying. Keep your old card to put back in should you want to build a band new machine, but save a few bucks as you get it running reliably. Power supply might be a challenge if the size is proprietary to the HP case.
