BIG PROBLEM cant access any of my old files

[RIGHT]ive just re-installed windows afer a problem. as with a new install it sets up new users. all of my data and files were stored on a seperate drive under the user login from the old install. this was password protected, i can access the folder icon in "my computer" but it wont allow me to open this. all it says is access denied!. this is a big problem for me as i have over 200gb of files on it which i cant get to!
