Bios default settings question

  1. A very easy question for you guys... is it necessary to press "reset default settings" in the bios anytime you install in a new processor or does the bios detect and set everything up automatically upon initial boot?

It kinda depends, i would say no, you don't need to, but i learned its a good idea to make sure your bois is configured the way its supposed to be. but resetting it wouldn't be a bad idea, unless you have so me specific settings.

The BIOS should get the idea right off the bat. Something else to consider is whether the BIOS version installed on the machine, is compatible with the CPU you intend to install. Check your motherboard's manufacturer's site for CPU compatibility charts.
