This is a compaq pesario 6430nx. I just bought a nvidia 6800 and cant get it to work. My bios dosent have half the options that people are telling me about and i think thats why the card wont work. Im not sure if unshadowing it will help me any but will it give me more options? If anybody knows how to do it please tell me.

BIOS shadowing will give you nothing options wise. Shadowing means that the BIOS code is copied from the slow ROM to RAM allowing it to run faster. Virtually no BIOS calls are used in modern OSes so you lose nothing if you turn it off. You will also gain nothing :p

Often updating the BIOS gives you some extra options. This is especially true if you have a generic motherboard inside that Compaq - getting the BIOS from the mobo maker instead of HP will give you the extra options you want.
