Been getting really annoyed with bitcomet and how every actions pop up this error

Failed to save task list!
(C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\Application Data\BitComet\Downloads.xml)
I tried reinstalling it but the same thing shows up. Ideas anyone?
EDIT: I kinda solved what happened, I unchecked the "read only" for Bitcomet in application data. Is there any danger in doing this (unchecking the read only in the folder)
If not, should all the folder in my application data have uncheck read-only?
