Black marks on LCD screen

Approximately a year and a half ago I purchased a Daytek LCD moniter and it was working well until recently when black shadow marks began to appear. Some reading indicates this may be "dead pixels" however I am looking for a second opinion. These marks tend not to appear when bright colors are displaying but are more prominent with darker colors

looks like a leak in the LCD. get a replacement kit.

I am new to this sort of thing, are there any kits that are recommended? Also thanks for the input
