Black Screen

Hello, I have this problem with my computer, that when I turn it on, it goes all black. This is how it happened, I was on the internet, and my computer just turned off, and began to restart. As soon as the first image goes away, the screen gets all Grey, and then it goes all black. I have tried restarting, but the same thing happens. The only time it doesn't go black, is when I press Delete when it first starts up, but even there I don't know what to do because it has these tabs where it says: Main, Boot, Advanced, Power, and Exit.

I have a Vista Home Premium.

I think that is a virus. You can reinstall your Windows, or try when you are turning on your PC press F8 and then select Safe Mode, there try to delete that virus.

Well Im pressing F8 but it just gives me the drivers that I can boot from.

OK I asked around, and everyone said that it's a virus, so how can I get rid of this virus? I tried re installing Windows but it won't boot from the CD.
