  1. hey guys,
i have an HP dv6-1161TX Pavilion Entertainment PC.
it has been almost 2 years since i bought it...so out of warranty.
about 4 months ago i noticed these black spots on my screen. first there was one and it grew pretty large and then 2 more popped up recently and are growing day by day.
can anybody tell me what the problem is? nd how can i solve it?
i am guessing ill hav to replace the screen...how much would it cost me.
also my battery is screwed...the laptop hangs up without a charger and the system gets heated up pretty quickly. is it bcos of the battery or have i lost the cooling system too.
if i had to replace my screen, the battery and the cooling system...what would it cost me and how much time will it take? will i have to give in my laptop to the huys at the store?
    i am seriously lost!
    plz help!

...and what do you mean by "cooling system"? Internal fans?

The spots could be caused by a corrupt video driver or a bad LCD panel. So you have taken the laptop apart to verify that the cooling fans are broken? You can search for them on EBay too. if you use EBay, make sure you have a PayPal account and always use it
