Blue Screen at Boot up with XP home version

I have seen a few "blue screen no boot" threads here, but mine seems s little different.

I have XP Home. I turn it on and I get the black screen that says "we aplogize for the inconvience......" there is a choice to boot with Safe Mode, or Save Mode with Networking, etc.....then Boot Windows Normally.....but I can not use my curser keys to change to Safe Mode. I can't do anything but wait for the timer at the bottom to count down.
then it goes to the XP Spash screen for a few seconds, and then the Blue Screen of death....
at the bottom there is some technical information:

stop:0x000000D1 (0x00000000,0x00000002, 0x00000000, 0xB8CFD064

Please help. What can I do.

I have checked hard drive connections and anything that could be loose inside. I disconnected and reconnected the mouse and keyboard USB.
Oh BTW, I can hit DELETE as it is booting to go into the CMOS set up, but everything looks fine.

Thanks for any suggestions,
