Blue Screen of Death on new notebook with Windows 7

Hi everyone!
its my firs time here....

i wish someone could help me here.

i have a brand new notebook cq40-609 tu, it has a pre-installed OS win7. after a day of purchase i try to update the windows, then an hour after i encounter a BSOD, when it restart the HD is not detected.

please help

Our best advice to you is to immediately take it back to where you have purchased it and have them fix it. It is under warrenty and this is their issue, not yours though you have to suffer with it.

Your laptop is the latest release in HP's Compaq line.
