    Hi guys,

I decided to format my MSi laptop today and reinstall windows, something I have done many times before, however, today the installation today the installation crashed.

Now I can't boot my computer, the initial MSi screen appears (with press del for setup, f3 for recovery etc) and I can go no further.

My windows 7 disc won't respond, nor my ubuntu usb stick or any of the F keys.

If I take out the battery and hold to power button to discharge and try again, the fan will start up, then stop and nothing will respond.

    Any ideas guys??

    Thanks.

Pull out the hard drive and try booting. If you see anything on the screen the hard drive is bad... This could be a memory issue too. If you have 2 modules installed, remove 1 at a time. One memory socket has to be populated for the computer to start up, usually the lower of the two
