Booting issue

my OS is not booting. I am getting an error message as foolow;

Windows has encountered a problem communicating with a devcice connected to your computer.

This error can be caused by unplugging a removable storage device such as an
external USB drive while the device is in use, or by faulty hardware such as a hard drive or CD-ROM drive that is failing. Make sure any removable storage is properly connected and then restart your computer.

If you continue to reiceive this error message, contact the hardware manufacturer.

File: \Windoows\system32\winload.exe

Status: 0xc00000e9

Info: An unexpected I/O error has occured

I/O is input/output and at this point we suspect your CD/DVD drive. Try the following:

1. Make sure your cables to your drives are securely attached and this includes your harddrive. SATA cables are nootorious for becoming loose due to their design.

2. If the cables are secure then disconnect the cable from both motherboard and CD/DVD drive and reboot. Any issues? You may have to disable the CD/DVD drive in the BIOS.
