Broadcom 802.11 starts intermittently

I have an HP Pavilion dv6000 about 3 years old. When i initially start the laptop. the broadcom 802.11 will start sometimes and sometimes not. When it doesn't start I cannot get it started without turning the laptop off and back on until the wireless 802.11 finally comes up. This has been happening for some months now. In addition to the broadcom 802.11, I have a Sprint 595U air card. I use the 802.11 at my home with a cable modem wirelessly and use the sprint Air Card at my office which has no other broadband capability. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to bring 802.11 up every time as it used to do? Thanks in advance for any assistance.
