I've posted once before regarding this issue and i didnt get a response. Hopefully there might be a bigger outlook knowledge base now

Basically i have some broken PST files in my outlook. how can i remove them?

by broken i mean that i cannot disconnect from them

usually they show up on Mail Setup > Data files and i can close them from there but in this case i cant see them.

i've tried removing my account from the computer and reloading it and it doesnt cure it.

i am using a microsoft exchange server too. Could it be a problem with the exchange server instead of the machine?

Well in the end I did some more research and it was apparently a registry issue. I managed to find a program to fix the 'ghost' files. it called PSTGhostbuster and can be found here
