BSOD during virus scan of system

  1. I use Norton Internet Security 2012 and Norton Utilities 15 to maintain my system.
For unknown reasons during a regular scan of my hard drives windows crashed into the BSOD. I called Norton and they remotely connected to my system and configured my system to do the same scan in safe mode and it checks the drives with no errors and reports them to be virus free.
Norton feels that thier software is conflicting with some other software on my computer.
I have attached the minidump file that my system created when it happened and was wondering if someone could look at it for me. I had to compress it because it was 69kb to big to download. I hope thats not an issue.

Thank you in advance for your time

As per your file the driver that caused your crash is SymDSMon.sys and belongs to Norton Utilities 15.
