Bsod On Startup

Well my brother started his computer toady and windows wont even load,\, i get a UNMOUNTABLE_BOOT_VOLUME error STOP 0x000000

i know know how to solve this i tryed safe mode reglur and l and last know good confuration none works i resintly patch his compituer with windows patches so maybe that has sometihyng to do with it

thanks for the responce it was windows xp but i have it reslovled as i just did a xomplete reformat
