Budget Gaming Build

I'm building a gaming rig for my friend's bro, and he's looking to spend about 500$, including the OS, and he already has a keyboard, monitor and speakers. He will be using it for mostly gaming, but he also uses high end beat making software a lot.

I was thinking something like this:

Cpu/Motherboard:

Video Card

RAM

really any 4 gig set would work. I'm not really sure which brands are the best though.

Hard Drive

PSU

I'm not sure if this is enough, but I think I've seen Rage recommend this for a build with a 4850.

Case

I have no idea. Doesn't have to be flashy, just functional.

Thanks,
TC

I would recommend this build instead:
Grand Total = $500 approximately. Everything ships free.

If your friend can stretch their budget a bit, I recommend this card instead of the HD 4830.

Also, look at this page to see if and how your friend can get their copy of the Windows 7 equivalent of Vista Home Premium, for only the cost of S&H ($9.99). I'm not sure whether or not that particular version of Vista is eligible, but if it is, then your friend's in luck.
