Building a new gaming rig

ok so i am looking to build a new gaming pc but havent really kept up with the times so asking for some advice/suggestions on what to look for any help would be greatly appreciated i have no preference towards amd or intel and budget is around 700-800

Hard for me to advise..... I always start with the case... i would suggest the Antec 1200..... but I think the case alone would eat abt half ur budget.... :-(

it may not be the best but it gets the job done

Do you need a monitor? What about a keyboard and mouse?
