    I'm with you there :grinthumb

Alaska however is full of ultra-conservative gun-nuts that heat their mobile homes with government checks funded by pipeline revenue. They must be sold back to the communists.

    To TS | CrazyAce:

My wife and children happen to have dual US/Irish citizenships, that should give me the right to at least have an opinion about the US.

    To Godataloss:
I only took offence to your accusing me of that wrong nationality. I have been called worse things than commie bas...rd, but that is like water off a duck's back.

    To everybody else:
I leave you to it, to sort out your politics: you getz as good as you givez.

Your opinion is based on what you are looking at across the ocean. What I am telling you is that most countries dislike the US because of jealousy. They then slander us in local papers/media/etc.

Sure the rest of the world would love to see Kerry in office in this country. It would give them a free ride ticket on the terrorist express.

All the polls say the country feels safer with Bush. When it comes down to it, it's the driving factor of this election. Bush will win.

Americans have short memories. Does everyone reading this thread remember 9/11? Do you remember the type of strong leadership that was show during this time? Do you remember how our commander in cheif made us feel? Do you remember how the country became united? Do you remember the amazing speach in which George Bush gave on national TV? Do you remember how confident he made us feel, and safe? He is a great leader.

GODATALOSS: You seem to have a true love for communism. You mention it quite often, which makes me understand why you would endorse a socialistic communist like Kerry.

Since this discussion is getting a bit heated I thought it best to add a little disclaimer here.

Any view put forward in this thread is not the official line of TechSpot. All the participants in this thread are voicing their views as private people only representing themselves (and their party preference).

Any official political stance for TechSpot will only be made by Julio on the frontpage.

Anyone who has an interest in the topic being discussed can do so, no matter race, religion, country of origin, sexual orientation, political preference or hardware spec's, and your posts should be kept civil and polite even though you feel the person you are arguing aganist is a complete and utter ****.

If you have an urge to tell the aforemention person how you feel about (if (s)he's/it's an aborration to God, has a sexual preference for his/her/it's own mother or father, him/her/it is pimple on the worlds behind, is an a**h**e or b**t**d, or such sentiments) then use a PM!

Thank you for your time and co-operation :)

I won't criticize the internal afairs of the US. Sure, there's unemployment, schools & other matters are not getting the budgets they deserve, etc. but wake up & smell the coffee. This is happening everywhere. People are getting laid off everywhere, unemployment is on the rise wherever you look.

What I will criticize is the US foreign policy which is simply catastrophic. Globalisation has been forced onto us but it should not just be something for economics. Globalisation is not just having free markets everywhere in the world, it should also mean better co-operation between all the nations for all the matters that influence us all. Globalisation means a decision taken by one nation will influence everyone else & as such everyone should be consulted before the decisions are taken.

What I don't like about Bush & his government is that he has his agenda, tries to get you to agree with it & if you don't, too bad. He or his "technical advisors" do not even listen to the other solutions being offered. Oh, & the phrase "either with us or against us" is simply ridiculous. Things are not black & white, no matter how much you try to simplify the matters at hand.

I suggest we all say Amen to this thread, before it gets out of hand or too personal.

It's a good thread with good topic, why would it end?

If you cannot have a discussion and be civil, then you don't belong in a forum to begin with. That being said, you have to just sit back and enjoy the fun, as long as there are no direct insults towards others.
