C-Media 3D Audio Configuration

I have a problem mixing the mic with the music am playing with the computer someone told me that I have to burn it to CD and play it and mix the mic but I cant make the configuration work when I click the CD player from the configuration I can hear my background but there is no mic, when I click the mic the CD player is something muted can anyone tell me what should I do if I want to mix the mic with the background...? BTW I have only headset.

But you do have a mike as well ?

Go to Sound and Audio Devices in control panel, and confirm that your mike is not muted.
Also in your Start program group, you may have a program group just for your sound and audio (these programs are installed with your sound card drivers) Look in there as well (if exists) for mike adjustments or boost.
