can i format the hard drive while using windows (help required asap)

i was warndering if i can format the harddrive while im using windows xp, i i can how do i do it

If you're trying to format the drive windows is currently running from then the answer is no. If you're trying to format a second drive in the machine or second partition on that drive then yes - you can do it in the Disk Management Console. Right-click on My Computer > Manage > Storage > Disk Management
