  1. Hi Everyone,
    Yes I am a novice,sorry.
All I want to do is Hookup another monitor, keyboard, mouse, speakers and printer to another area of my home but use the same CPU. Is this nuts?

    Yes you can,

There is an adapter that will allow you to hook up two monitors, two mouses and two keyboards to the same computer. Look in your local IT store or check out ebay.

    Regards,

Hi norma and welcome to techspot :)

i could be wrong, but it sounds like you are using the term CPU to describe the computer itself. the CPU is the brain of the computer, not the computer itself. nothing but the motherboard connects directly to the CPU.

to answer your question... yes it is nuts :D haha just kidding, it is possible via a KVM switch but would require super long cables be be run from the computer to your second monior/keyboard/mouse in another room.
