I had some brass standoffs I was gonna use for a motherboard I put in a case I bought but they ended up stripping and I couldn't use em all but 3 and I had some plastic ones to. Is it ok to use plastic standoffs and to mix them with brass ones? Would it cause any issues with grounding?

    Thanks

No, the motherboard is grounded well enough through the PSU connector. The screw holes are additional grounding points but are not required for functionality.

There are people running rigs that are not even mounted in a case. It's not a great idea but can be done without causing damage, however the risk of causing damage increases significantly.
