Hi yall, I put another hdd in the computer im working with from another computer that would not start up anymore because a file had been deleted or something like that Im not sure. But what I would like to know is if I can format so I can use it as a 2nd hard drive? And if so how would I go abouts doing that. Thanx gackleman

Click Start, click Run, type compmgmt.msc, and then click OK. In the console tree, click Disk Management. The Disk Management window appears

Right click on your "2nd hard drive" and select "Delete Partition..."
Warning: Deleting the Partition(s) will remove all system files and data from the drive

One complete, then right click and create a Partition (NTFS ideally)

    Done :grinthumb

By the way, if you accidentally try to delete your main drive (in use) Partition, it won't work (basically a safe guard) But don't do it anyway, just in case :D
