Can I uninstall Vista?

  1. Hi
    I have a laptop with vista, which I do not like. I like to uninstall vista and install xp.
    because I have XP in my other 2 comp.what is the easiest way to do it. or do you have any other suggestions

    Put a XP CD in your drive and boot from it. Then run the setup process. Easy!

    If you have files you want to save, just be sure to back them up before installing XP. During the XP installation process you will be formatting the hard drive and that will wipe out the data that's on there.

    Mailpup I agree, and you should ALWAYS have file backup in place just in case...

    Vista is grim. Why not try Windows 7? Its the best OS yet from m$.

    First, you have to locate a new copy of XP. You cannot use the one on your other computer. Why don't you just find the needle in the haystack? Get 7. You can just put it in (with a backup) your computer and follow the instructions. Or, stick with XP and jump into the haystack.
