Can I upgrade the CPU of my Dell XPS 400?

  1. It currently uses a Pentium D 820. I'd like to upgrade to a respectable processor. Is this motherboard compatible or not?

Agreed, You don't exactly need a new CPU but that depends. What do you want this PC for, Gaming?

As said above, If you drop in a decent card (eg. 4850), with 2gb ram, you would have a nice PC.

No, you will need to buy a new MOBO.

Save some money for a new Case, Mobo, CPU.

Or upgrade and scrape the case and just have an open setup :p

the best game you could play with this machine would be "drop-kicking it off the bridge"

(i don't mean to be cruel, it's just the way of the world)
