  1. I just purchased a Dell Inspiron 570 which has integrated ATI 4200 Graphics and does have one PCIe 16x expansion slot. I emailed Dell Support to find out what "flavor" this slot is, ie. will it take a 2.0 and/or 2.1 PCIe card. The response was that it is GEN2 and will accept a 2.0 card..........did NOT mention 2.1 though. Most of the cards that I am looking at are 2.1 cards..........does someone here know IF I would be asking for problems buying a 2.1 PCIe card to install in that slot that Dell tells me will accept 2.0???

    Thanks michael

The cards are backward compatible to the older spec.
