Can my laptop run this CPU?

I have an asus n53sn, windows 7 64 bit. I want to upgrade my cpu to an i7 2630QM. I was wondering if my laptops heatsink can handle it and if my laptop can give it adequate power.

Well according to the specs on Asus's website the i7 2630QM is listed as an option so it should be compatible. I don't think the heatsink will be any different on the same laptop model.

Whether it's cost effective is another matter, what are you doing that requires a CPU upgrade?

Thanks for replying, I just multi-task alot. I would run a bunch of programs; games, browsers, and such. I notice my cpu usage is pretty high. So if I do get a new CPU, I wouldn't have to upgrade anything else then?
