Can not open some photos

On 08-16-2009 syzygy posted a thred on this topic. I am having the same problem. Not able to open, preview, copy, send/transfer photos from some folders with any of the programmes that I have, Adanced summary missing. No problem in opening some other phots. Please if somebody out there has foundout the solution please advice.

just fyi;

Personally, I never add summary data to pictures (downloaded via Internet or uploaded from the camera) and default Open or context -> Open With always works.

Kodak adds details in a file of the same name + an extension of LID
