Can SLI motherboards support crossfire?

Yes I know this could possibly be a very stupid question, but I'm just wondering. If you need a special mobo to use crossfire. And if you need a different mobo for crossfire, can anyone reccommend any?

There are rumors that some upcoming Intel motherboards might support both SLI & Crossfire but nothing's sure. Right now (meaning with currently available motherboards) you have to get a Crossfire capable motherboard.
